I have always been interested in good health and fitness and have always taken part in many different physical activities. I first found yoga in 2008 and the physicality of the practice caught my interest right away! I discovered very quickly that yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down. As a primary school teacher it soon became very clear that yoga benefitted a
ll the children I was working alongside at school. I then opened up classes to colleagues and staff from other schools and that is how it all began. There seems to be a growing trend of adults and teens, who are tired all of the time, who struggle with fatigue and exhaustion. Suffer with poor mental health, high blood pressure and sleep deprivation. Studies show that regular yoga practice releases stress and tension, stimulates and energises your mind and body and this is where SE-nergy can help. SE-nergy also looks very closely at the body’s natural energy source, which of course is oxygen. Classes will help you to learn how to breathe correctly, leaving you feeling energised and revitalised and having the energy to do the fun things, like shopping and hanging out with your friends. All abilities are welcome whether you are a beginner or a novice, it really doesn't matter where you are in you practice. There is no such thing as a perfect pose and any body can practice yoga, whether that is on a yoga mat or sat in a chair, yoga is inclusive, it does not discriminate. I believe in living a life free of judgement, filled with joy and gratitude. These feelings inform and guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on helping others to connect to themselves and their surroundings. I hope that my students experience the joy that this practice gives to me.
