The glitter path appears to come straight at you because you are seeing the sun's (or moon's) reflection off the water's rippled surface at a precise angle determined by your position.

Each tiny glint you see is a specular reflection from a specific point on a wave that is oriented to direct the light to your eyes. 

Therefore, only the points on the water with the correct slope for reflection will be illuminated and visible to YOU, creating a path of light that is UNIQUE to your specific viewing angle and seems to point directly at you.

There was a timeless quality to this morning's gathering

A true pause 

A stillness that came with the steely grey sky

A sense of being 'away' from the world

Fully immersed in the experience of heat, cold, connection

A camaraderie & deep relaxation, support & celebration

And in that space we began to drop notions of ourselves as daughters, mothers, colleagues, partners, and allow the gift of just being, being ourselves, being women, together.

Truly a quietly joyous experience
