Shakti, the subtle power that evolves our awareness from within. This energy is often described in the form of the Goddess. She has many faces and many facets. You might realise the Goddess as an inner force, as a pulsation of energy in your body, as a quality of aliveness in your breath, as an inner river that flows through your thoughts or as a subtle seeing behind all your experiences. You may notice her in nature, weather patterns, the play of light on water or in the moods of the ocean.

Join Bridget for a morning of Anusara yoga to honour the divine feminine, but also the women that have supported and inspired us in our lives

Bridget will teach a Shakti Flow practice of asana, meditation and breath work weaving in 3 Goddesses
Durga - The protectress.
Lakshmi - Goddess of abundance.
Chinnamasta - Goddess of radical self transcendence.

H A P P Y E A S T E R

Spring rituals have been associated with eggs, chocolate, hares and the goddess of fertility for millennia. Ancient Egyptians, Persians, Romans, Gauls, and Chinese all embraced the egg as a symbol of the universe. An entire world and creation within the protection of its shell. Now we gift chocolate versions and go hunting in the garden for them, but they are still a representation of new life. Pagans worshiped the Goddess Eostre, she was often portrayed with her sacred animal the hare, standing among spring flowers and holding an egg in her hand. The hare laid eggs to honour her and we now know this creature as the Easter Bunny.

Whatever you are doing this Easter; gathering, celebrating, resting or yoga, we wish you happiness.

What a wonderful Equinox weekend.

We hope you found just a moment to honour the prefect balance of light and dark, the joy of nature and the abundance of positive energy. Now is a time to let the returning light and warmth revive us because just as in nature we go through cycles with the seasons. It motivates us to do anything from Spring cleaning to baking, setting intentions to starting new chapters.

‘Lighting a love and warmth for all other living things,
Teaching us to love the earth and all of its treasures,
May we never forget the lore of Mother Nature’

Embrace the change and look forward to what is to come - Namaste

It is beautiful to celebrate the abundance of light and creativity, join us as we honour this potent time for setting intentions and indulge in Spring ritual. Kamala with be softening the transition of the seasons with balancing sound, restorative yoga, breath work, oracle cards and crystals.

The hips are the most hard working of joints, pivotal in our daily movements, but also where many of us hold tension. Without regular stretching and strengthening they can be stiff and dull. This weekend George’s workshop will work towards a feeling of freedom and release. By exploring deeply poses that focus on this area and bring awareness to the muscles you will leave with a feeling of lightness, like you are walking on air!

Friday night is for letting go of the week that has been, an invitation to arrive on your mat and soften.

We are so delighted that after her amazing New Year workshop Deborah is now making a regular appearance on our timetable. This Friday is the first of her monthly Healing Somatic Movement classes. A slow, nourishing and deeply attentive class that is primarily floor based using simple, gentle and unforced movement. You’re invited to be curious, to listen and let your body lead as you are guided to feel what’s happening from the inside. Relax into noticing warmth, breathe, subtle sensations and the quiet signals your body is sending.
