Good morning everyone:) hope you all having a great week! I am slowly starting to emerge back from my “pain and shame” cave after unfortunate events of the 24h race;) running is still on hold as even as little as 10min seem to make things worse, but I am rediscovering swimming, walking and Pilates. Plan is to get back to basics, focus on form, conditioning and then tackle speed improvement on shorter distances before getting back to ultras… But I definitely will be back on the trails! Hopefully stronger, faster and happier! Thank you everyone for all your messages and support, and very special thank you to and who have to put up with my running related pains, frustrations, moods and dramas;) ###

So here’s one just after 60km. Nat braved a double lap (20km) but during this last one she developed a lot of pain from the hip, to the knee, and into the ankle. We’re not sure what it is (it doesn’t seem to be muscle or joint related), but it sounds like it could be a pinched nerve and we thought it’s not worth risking further injury by running through it. So she stopped, had a hot shower, some food, and now going through a few sessions. I’ve got a movie at the ready for now and we’ll see how she feels in the morning and whether it safe to go out again, or best to call it a day. Thank you all for your kind messages!! ❤️

Can not believe how beautiful everything looks covered in sunshine:) so my last few weeks were very up and down, I had some great times with friends, got very busy and then very unwell… last few days were all about rest and recovery… not ideal timing with only a week to go before 24h challenge… but I am still looking forward to it:) I can not wait to share the weekend with awesomely determined and dedicated runners:) I may not be as race ready as I wished, but I still want to go out there and do my best!

Good morning:) another beautiful sunrise! Walking instead of running today as my body refuses to push this week… mixture of hay fever and tiredness from other commitments… not the best timing with only 4 weeks to my big adventure, but nothing I can do about it now. Good morning everyone:) Happy Tuesday! I know I am not posting much lately but just wanted to share a little bit of morning sunshine with you! Only 7 weeks until my race, which means that I only have 5 weeks of hard running left! Now is the time for maximum focus on training, recovery and fuel! Spot me if you can! :) I am not going to lie, post holiday training is not going anywhere near how it should, I am still trying to get back to my usual routine with work, sleep and meals… and, as you probably know by know, I love routines and not doing well with any anomalies- even as amazing as my holiday! I guess I will need to get use to it as adventures with will always take priority:)
