What are fillings? 🦷😇

Fillings are applied to small developing cavities to restore a tooth and prevent any further decay. During a check up here at Bath Dental Excellence the dentist will check for any holes or signs of decay. 🙂

It is best to get fillings done as soon as possible to prevent any further decay. However, the dentist can give you a time frame of how soon you should book in to get a cavity filled. 😁

Fillings can also help improve the aesthetic of the tooth. For example, if a tooth is chipped a filling can be applied to make the tooth look natural. 🦷🤩

Root Canal Treatments fall under a branch of dentistry called Endodontics. 🤩

Endodontics focuses on studying, preventing and treating diseases related to the dental pulp and surrounding tissues. 😍

A Root Canal Treatment is designed to treat infections in the tooth pulp to prevent any further infections such as abscesses that can form in or around a tooth. 🦷

A periodontist is concerned with keeping your teeth in place. We are very lucky to have our specialist, Ines, to help prevent, treat and diagnose. 😁
