Welcome to MZ Therapy

MZ Therapy can help you restore movement and physical alignment via different therapeutic applications;

- The Rolf method of Structural Integration
- Massage therapy
- Yoga therapy

Physical alignment indicates the degree of organization of your body. When bodily segments are well stacked, and joints congruent - muscles can move in a balanced fashion across joints, the spine retains its correct curves and sits on horizontal hips. The internal organs are supported and in right relationship and our physiology is healthy. A disorganized body manifests in degrees of pain, swellings, movement difficulties and ill health. If your movement and physical ease has been compromised through injury, sporting activities or life long vocations; - MZ Therapy can help you. Learning to move with ease and with good physical alignment often requires a process of structural change and neuro-muscular re-wiring and activation; as you change old movement habits and patterns and restore functional ones. Body work - brings about physical re-alignment by working with the musculo-skeletal system and myofascial structures. Yoga therapy - helps activate neuro-muscular changes through establishing correct movement patterns around the joints of the body in coherence with bio-dynamics. A learnt yoga asana self practise - Gives you a sense of self responsibility and keeps you physically, emotionally and mentally healthy, and mobile for life. MZ Therapy does not deal with acute injuries.

Saying Yes to the Universe

BY MADISYN TAYLOR
Saying Yes to the universe opens the gate to receiving what your soul really wants.
The hardest thing about saying yes to the universe is that it means accepting everything life puts in front of us. Most of us have a habit of going through our days saying no to the things we don't like and yes to the things we do, and yet, everything we encounter is our life. We may be afraid that if we say yes to the things we don't like, we will be stuck with them forever, but really, it is only through acknowledging the existence of what's not working for us that we can begin the process of change. So saying yes doesn't mean indiscriminately accepting things that don't work for us. It means conversing with the universe, and starting the conversation with a very powerful word--yes.

When we say yes to the universe, we enter into a state of trust that whatever our situation is, we can work with it. We express confidence in ourselves, and the universe, and we also express a willingness to learn from whatever comes our way, rather than running and hiding when we don't like what we see. The question we might ask ourselves is what it will take for us to get to the point of saying yes. For some of us, it takes coming up against something we can't ignore, escape, or deny, and so we are left no choice but to say yes. For others, it just seems a natural progression of events that leads us to making the decision to say yes to life.

The first step to saying yes is realizing that in the end it is so much easier than the alternative. Once we understand this, we can begin examining the moments when we resist what is happening, and experiment with occasionally saying yes instead. It might be scary at first, and even painful at times, but if we continue to say yes to every moment through the process, we will discover the joy of being in a positive conversation with a force much bigger than ourselves.

OUR HEARTS ARE CALLING US HOME

At midlife, more than ever our hearts are calling us home. During our life, for every behaviour - whether health enhancing or health destroying, there are emotions that are processed by the heart. Behind all of these emotions - there is a perception about reality often causing us to react unconsciously. Those emotions that we can't deal with directly go into our bodies and drive our behaviours and may remain latent until then at midlife... the pigeons come home to roost, and the dictates of our souls cry out to be heard maybe in the form of ill health, (physically, emotionally or mentally). At this time we need to have the courage to name our needs and desires associated with feeling and releasing childhood shame and guilt. These shames and guilts may have many different names, but all boil down to some version of 'I am not lovable'... This belief is so painful that far too many of us use addictions in the form of food, alcohol, smoking, too much or too little exercise, or recreational drugs - as a way to avoid these feelings. It is only through naming our needs, desires and dreams, and releasing our guilt, sorrow, and shame that we will start to feel at home within ourselves. Self-acceptance and self-love result from being true to ourselves and to our dreams and desires. Then we can allow thoughts and beliefs that support self love and self worth to flow, health and well being and the lifestyle behaviours that support them being a natural by product.
Spend the time surfacing dysfunctional holding patterns - physically, emotionally and mentally... this is the duty of our midlife and the precursor to our greater joy, wisdom and coming home.
