As a member of the Good Funeral Guide we have been asked to share a questionnaire for those who have been involved with or through any direct cremation company or funeral director, or essentially experienced a direct cremation service in the UK.

The Good Funeral Guide aim to achieve and help funeral directors provide the best service they can to and for clients and those in need of their services, and this questionannire has been put together to formulate an insight into the direct cremation area of funerals.

Anybody who is able to complete or share this and provide them with some much needed (and appreciated) insight, please do so to help them.

Direct cremation is growing in popularity in the UK, and the Good Funeral Guide CIC is keen to learn more as the funeral and bereavement landscape changes. There is very little research in this area, and we really want to understand more about any impact, positive or negative, that direct cremation....

St Stephen’s, Lansdown, Bath, BHWH Productions had the privilege of supporting family at St Stephen’s in Lansdown, Bath — providing live streaming for a deeply meaningful life event, ensuring loved ones near and far could be part of it. UK & worldwide. Later, we continued at the reception with a visual tribute — crafted with care to honour memories and bring people together in shared reflection.It’s always a great honour to be invited into these moments. A lot about this years service, sorry for the bombardment today, but we are really amazed at everyone's generosity this year raising through our online muchloved page, contributions through the post and collection at the service reaching a huge £700.00 to be shared between the Ben Saunders Foundation and BANES OTR

Thank you once again to St Stephen's St Mary's and St Stephen's, Bath for hosting us, the wonderful Rev Philip Hawthorn sharing his kindness on such a difficult and special day, all of the brilliant ladies and gents at the church for their help and support, all our incredible staff at Clarkson's, the wonderful organist, Rosie Rose & the Bee for the pedestal and thank you flowers, and Young Johnson Monumental Masons for sponsoring the tea, coffees and cakes - but most of all, thank you to you all for coming, attending and sharing this time together to remember those we have lost.

Thank you so much to everyone who came to the service this past Sunday. It was so lovely to see such a full church and all the absolutely beautiful messages we've received from those who attended, but also those that couldn't make it this year.

A huge thank you to the Ben Saunders foundation and particulary Tom who did a lovely but also very touching and real talk about what they do and why - I know we had many people really resonate with your words, and your understanding and what you all do and your wonderful work. Thank you for letting us include you in our service this year.

Every year it seems early to be sharing this but we have already had so many lovely enquiries that I am popping up the poster for the first time now in regards to this years annual Remembrance Carol Service.

Everyone is warmly welcome to join us and bring along friends, family or those who simply wish to come and share these moments (it is not invitation only).

Sunday 8th December 2024 at 3pm at St Stephen's Church, Lansdown, Bath led by the lovely Revd Philip Hawthorn.
