Bright Blue Yoga Hi, my name is Georgina Bassford and I teach yoga classes and workshops in Bath.

I teach a variety of day and evening yoga classes in Bath including Slow Hatha Flow, Move.Relax.Restore, Yang-Yin, Restorative Yin, Pregnancy and Postnatal Mother & Baby Yoga classes as well as Womb to World Essential Birth Preparation for couples. 🩶 I’m now sharing my Slow Flow Yoga class as a monthly online experience so those of you who can’t make in-person classes with me for any reason it will be so lovely to have you along.

💙 Join me tomorrow at 6:30pm for an hour of enjoyable and life-enhancing movement and rest, at your pace, in your space ☺️

🩶 Alternatively, you can purchase the recording if you can’t attend live - and then you can do the class as many times as you like, when and where you like (note: everyone who attends real-time also automatically receives a class recording 💪👌)

Beginners welcome too.

New week and some sun today. Delight 🤩🫣

All classes on as normal this week including Restorative Yoga on Saturday 2-3:30pm. There are still a few places left - website link in bio.

Postnatal Yoga as usual, like Pregnancy Yoga, is twice each week - today and Wednesday 11-12:30pm.

Often surprisingly quiet and calm despite often being pretty busy classes - and one of my favourite classes to teach 🥰

💙There are a couple of spaces up for grabs in tomorrow’s Core Confidence Radiant Transition evening class.

💙We’ll be looking at the core and pelvic floor, how they work and how they change during the menopause.

💗Also some basic lifestyle changes you can make for improving both, as well as, of course, some good practice to feel into what we’re learning - and some good quality guided relaxation.

💙And always time for tea and snacks on the sofa as you know!

Once a month I am currently holding space for up to 11 peri and post menopausal women to come together, share experiences, learn something new and practice yoga together.

Each month is a different focus. This month’s focus was ‘Love your Mind’ and we looked at how the brain changes during peri-menopause and how lifestyle changes can positively change our brains and experiences at this time.

We especially looked at how meditation can help support the transition and tried 6 different techniques. We also discussed how to translate this into at home practices.

During the break we enjoyed some Nutmeg Sleepy-time ‘tea’, and spiced nuts chosen specifically for their sleep-supporting qualities.

The next session is Monday 2nd March 6-8:45pm only £25 Early Bird and is bookable now (web link in bio). The focus is ‘Core Confidence’ and we’ll be learning about core strength, how to support the pelvic floor and move intelligently in our yoga practice.

This month’s class was fully booked with a wait list so don’t delay in booking - also you’ll be able to benefit from the Early Bird price if you book before 9th Feb

In my opinion, Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga classes should be prescribed on the NHS!

The benefits of both are so tangible. Pregnancy yoga improves birth outcomes and reduces pregnancy ages and pains. Postnatal yoga heals and improves the physical and mental health of postnatal mums as they come together in community to share experiences alongside their babies.

I teach two of each class, every week in Newbridge Bath. The venue I use has easy buggy access and buggy ‘parking’ and although there is no parking associated with the venue, evening parking is never a problem and with a bit of careful planning people seem to find places to park for the daytime postnatal classes.

Pregnancy Yoga: Wednesday and Thursday evenings
Postnatal Yoga: Monday and Wednesday mornings

These once a month special yoga classes in the heart of Bath are just that - pretty special.

Some people are coming to them all but others are booking the ones that resonate with them.

They are for peri and post menopausal women and each month always includes a yoga flow, a guided rest and homemade healthy snacks and tea. And is focused around a theme.

Yesterday’s retreat day was so lovely. What a great way to start the year. Creativity ducking and diving throughout the day as well as a strong theme of community (some great conversations and co-created yoga flows!) and the various yoga practices held it all together 💙

Remember I run monthly classes for Radiant women (women in their peri and post menopause years) and the next one is tomorrow night, Monday 5th January.

Each session includes yoga flows tea and a snack and deep relaxation - all based around a theme and tomorrow’s is ‘Address the Stress’
