Bright Blue Yoga Hi, my name is Georgina Bassford and I teach yoga classes and workshops in Bath.

I teach a variety of day and evening yoga classes in Bath including Slow Hatha Flow, Move.Relax.Restore, Yang-Yin, Restorative Yin, Pregnancy and Postnatal Mother & Baby Yoga classes as well as Womb to World Essential Birth Preparation for couples. I occasionally teach weekend workshops and Saturday classes and have a portfolio of regular and one-off private clients.

💪 Staying active is super protective for your kind and body - and babies - in pregnancy. So get yourself to that pool and may I also suggest, to a Pregnancy Yoga class 😉

There are many good classes in Bath. Mine have been running for a lo-o-ong time. I think the first mums in my class now have children doing their A levels 😆

Pregnancy Yoga classes are Wednesdays 7:30-90pm and Thursdays 6-7:30pm

No yoga experience is necessary - and be prepared to get a good nights sleep after class 💤

So lovely to support mums on their journey to motherhood with Pregnancy Yoga, Birth Preparation Workshops for couples and also Postnatal Yoga (with babies!).

It’s been a few years now since I was pregnant but seems like yesterday, especially as I get to work with pregnant women and babies week in week out. What a total joy!

Come to class

to relax

to get strong

to stretch

to skip bed time (I hear you second - and third etc - time mums!)

to meet other mums in your area

to learn techniques for labour

to prepare your mind and body for birthing

to deal with birth anxieties

to share your experiences with others

💙Thursday mornings sum up some of the things I love most of all

🚶 Walking (sometimes by myself sometimes with a friend)

🏊 Swimming

🥵 Sauna

🥶 Cold plunge (don’t really love it, or maybe it’s a love hate thing!)

☕️ Coffee (from Simeon at - absolutely great coffee, great service, superb spot by the river)

🫜Garden time sitting and soaking it up

💙Now I’ve come inside. I’m writing this post (because you need to show up somewhat regularly on IG / FB apparently 🙄)

💙Preparing for my private students at 11, thinking about what to cook for dinner, planning in some online yoga training I need to catch up on, practicing and prepping for my evening classes. And doing my meditation which I didn’t have time for this morning (thanks )

🥰I do realise how lucky I am to plan my day in this way

💙May I remind you, if you’ve got this far down (well done!) that there are yoga classes as normal this week and next and then no classes for the week beginning Monday 6th April

✨Saturday must honestly have been the perfect day for my Spring Equinox Yoga & Relaxation Mini-Retreat.

💛I actually held space for two groups as one was a private session for friends (who all met three years ago at my Pregnancy Yoga class!)

✨If you’ve not been to one of these special sessions, they are really an opportunity for you to practice mindful body connection through yoga and connect with nature, quite literally, as we’re in the yurt in the valley surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature.

☀️Quite often, like yesterday, we are able to take some of the practice onto the grass and bask in the sunshine with the birds, the bees and the butterflies.

✨I always make a few yummy snacks for nourishing body and soul and always take you through along guided relaxation.

💛Hopefully you feel, by the end, that you’ve had a long moment of pausing. You’ve been able to step off the merry-go-round and touch into your heart and the quiet loving you that is always and eternally present.

💛All the remaining sessions are fully booked I’m afraid but do request to be added to the wait list - spaces do come up! (Dates on my website)

❕AND I have two dates nearly ready to share, for sessions specifically for postnatal mums and another for pregnant mums. Keep an eye open for those as I’ll be sharing that later this week.

🩶What if the benefits you get from my Wednesday morning Slow Flow Yoga class were as much to do with

✨your morning walk to get to class
✨the being in nature that your morning walk afforded - including all that morning light on your retinas
✨the community of people who participate in class with you and who you find yourself chatting to before class as you chill out on your mat
✨the popping into one of the many excellent shops on Chelsea Road after and feeling like part of that community too - shout out to

✨And then yes, I do happen to believe that the yoga practice that I share with you is transformative.

🩶 I’m now sharing my Slow Flow Yoga class as a monthly online experience so those of you who can’t make in-person classes with me for any reason it will be so lovely to have you along.

💙 Join me tomorrow at 6:30pm for an hour of enjoyable and life-enhancing movement and rest, at your pace, in your space ☺️

🩶 Alternatively, you can purchase the recording if you can’t attend live - and then you can do the class as many times as you like, when and where you like (note: everyone who attends real-time also automatically receives a class recording 💪👌)

Beginners welcome too.
