Job title: PCN Manager
Reports to: PCN Clinical Director
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Base: Agile working at GP Practices across the Batley Birstall PCN (Working from home and in person at the Practices)
Salary: Band 6/7 -depending on experience
The Batley Birstall Primary Care Network (PCN) has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual, looking to progress in primary care management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical Director to build the strategic direction of the network. The post holder will work to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the PCN, enabling it to achieve the network contract DES specifications and its own local priorities.
Working as the PCN Manager, the post holder will be responsible for a wide range of key functions including HR, financial, governance, strategic and operational management. Working across the 8 GP practices that make up the Batley Birstall PCN and its wider partners, the PCN Manager will build strong and collaborative working relationships.

About PCN
The Batley Birstall Primary Care Network is led by Clinical Director, Dr Chantel Ratcliffe. Working to deliver services to a population of circa 59,495 patients, the PCN strives to be innovative and deliver on both local and national priorities. The PCN consists of 8 member practices (Batley Health Centre, Blackburn Road Medical Centre, Broughton House Surgery, Cherry Tree Surgery, Grove House Surgery, Kirkgate Surgery, Mount Pleasant Medical Centre and Wellington House Surgery). Some practices within the PCN are involved in clinical research and many are training practices. The PCN covers the market towns of Batley and Birstall and lies south-west of Leeds, north-west of Wakefield, south-east of Bradford and north-east of Huddersfield.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of managing services within a healthcare environment, with a desire to help shape our current and future services. Primary Care Networks are the future of General Practice. The candidate might be from a management position in either operations or clinical services and can be from either a clinical or management branch. What is important is having an understanding of mobilisation against new work streams, management of a diverse workforce in a multi-location deployment, aptitude for strategy planning, project management and the appreciation for relationships, politics and maintaining harmony.
