Did you know that getting your hands in the soil can have huge benefits to our physical and mental well-being? 🌿

Soil is sometimes known as nature’s antidepressant due to amazing mood enhancing properties:

Research suggests that contact with the soil, especially through gardening, can trigger the release of serotonin and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters associated with feelings of well-being. 😋

Getting your hands in the soil can also improve gut health and boost your immune system:

Soil microbes can be transferred to the body when we touch the soil, which can increase the diversity of bacteria in our gut, contributing to better gut health. 🦠

How fabulous is that 😌

Understand from the first this certainty. Butterflies don’t write books, neither do lilies or violets. Which doesn’t mean they don’t know, in their own way, what they are. Welcome to True Nature Therapy, set in the tranquil surroundings of Ashburnham Place in Battle, East Sussex. I offer walk-and-talk counselling through ancient woodlands, creating a calm space for support and reflection. As the evenings grow darker, there is also an opportunity to sit by the fire to share any difficulties you may be facing.
