Working with you in a fun and relaxed environment, our mission is to provide parents-to-be with relevant practical skills, backed up by the very latest evidence-based research with absolutely no bias and with support that continues long after birth. Generally parents-to-be will be living in Beaconsfield, Wooburn Green, Penn, Tylers Green, Hazlemere, Seer Green, Gerrards Cross or Farnham Common but we welcome anyone who lives in the local area.

Another baby to be born at sometime, mum has gone in for an induction. I always go on about being well informed, and it is so important, as when we sat down and had that conversation, it was myself giving my client all the information, describing exactly what happens, when it happens, how long it happens for and what to expect and what we will be doing. When she walked into that ward, she felt calm, powerful and ready to meet her baby.

Beautiful baby girl born, mum so happy and healing slowly. Remember to take it one day at a time, there’s no race to the finish, sleep when baby sleeps, I always call it the golden time, it’s an excuse to cocoon yourself and your little family! Just BE! If help is needed, then ask for it, a postnatal doula , a maternity nurse, mothers help, so many to choose from, but ask even it’s for a day or two, it will give you that time to heal slowly and get some good proper sleep!

I have been very much inundated with Doula birth support duties during July, it has taken me to many different hospitals, birth centres and homes, many to be home births, which have very quickly changed to C -sections due to various reasons. The main thing I want to tell you about, is the information you receive on the day or during your journey, if my clients hadn’t spoken to me and hadn’t been well informed and hadn’t remained calm and grounded, these births may have been quite chaotic and stress induced, even though they ended up via an operation. It’s obviously not the journey we all wanted but I know that I did my best and stood by my couples and sometimes single mums on their way to meet their babies. Now the hard work really does begin and the healing and guiding these little ones into their worlds.

I’m sending out all my love and the biggest of hugs to you all. Look after your bumps, ask those questions and if you don’t understand something or it doesn’t feel right, open your mouth and have that conversation, pregnant women always know, they have that gut instinct that i always trust!

A little evening visit to to collect a placenta from an extremely happy new father, his beautiful wife gave birth to an even more beautiful baby tonight and she is recovering. Isn’t it a great idea to add a graffiti board for new parents to write little messages. CONGRATULATIONS to all you new mums and dads!!! You did GOOD!! 💪💪💪

It has been the busiest bank holiday week this year for baby’s arriving. This gorgeous mum was having a bit of a tug of war with the maternity unit, who were trying to push for an early induction and then when they realised it was bank holiday weekend, suddenly changing their minds and causing the most awful anxiety, telling this wonderful human, that she really should have a c section as that would be the best option. So I got a call to help, which I did, together with reflexology and a good chat , the first treatment told me that her body and baby were ready but not imminent. The second treatment about 4 days later, I knew she had been in a slow, on and off latent labour ( third baby pregnancy). She then went in for a check on Monday (bank holiday) and gave birth to her gorgeous baby in the birth pool at midnight. Yes they put her on a drip ( they do love a good bit of induction 🥴), but it all went so quickly as everything was soft and ready and she experienced what she always wanted, which is just wonderful! In my book a very happy mum, partner and baby! 👍👍👍
