Today we mark Mother’s Day.

Across our homes we are surrounded by extraordinary women - mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers whose love, strength and wisdom have shaped families and communities across generations.

For many, it is a joyful day of celebration and time spent together. For others, it may be a day of reflection: remembering a mother who is no longer with us, experiencing a first Mother’s Day after loss, or thinking about the path to motherhood they had hoped for.

Today we recognise and honour all of these experiences.

🎉 We’re delighted to have been nominated for Residential Elderly Care Provider of the Year (Medium Group) at the HealthInvestor Awards 2026.

It’s a fantastic recognition for our teams across Signature Senior Lifestyle who work every day to create homes where residents can truly thrive.

It’s also a particularly strong category this year, alongside some excellent organisations who are all doing brilliant work in later life care. The standard across the sector continues to rise and it’s inspiring to see so many providers pushing for better experiences, environments and outcomes for older people.

Of course we would love to bring the award home, but whatever the outcome, it’s a privilege to be recognised alongside such respected peers.

Fewer than two percent of UK care homes are accredited, placing Coombe Hill Manor among a select group committed to helping people live well right up to the end of their lives.

📣 Signature Senior Lifestyle has successfully gone live with its new sales and resident billing platform, supplied by CareHQ. This week marked the final stage of the project, with the successful migration of all resident data now complete.

💬 Melanie Grigg, Head of Projects said: “CareHQ’s product aligns with Signature’s goal of having customer and resident information in one place, from initial enquiry right through to the final invoice. This marks an important milestone for us and forms a key part of our wider IT transformation programme, focused on improving data integrity through seamless integration and simple, easy-to-use systems for our team members. Huge thanks to the team involved for getting us over the line, particularly during the complexity of full resident migration, and to our partners at Care HQ for their support throughout.”

Build Update: Signature at Hornchurch 🏗️🌿

Construction at Signature at Hornchurch is progressing well, and it’s exciting to see the vision coming to life.

The gardens are beginning to take shape and will offer beautiful spaces for residents and their families to enjoy - including features such as giant chess and a boules pitch. The home will also offer a secure, sensory garden for those with dementia, offering opportunities for circular walks or relaxation, with activities including gardening & lawn games.

Up on the roof, we have integrated our renewable technology and eco-conscious design, shaping the next generation of Signature homes. From solar PV panels, high levels of insulation, use of greener materials and reduction of waste, sustainability is embedded at every stage of the build.

We’re proud to be creating homes that are thoughtfully designed for both people and the planet. 🌍✨
