Stress isn’t just in your mind… it lives in your body.
When we’re constantly “on”, our bodies produce higher levels of cortisol (the stress hormone). Over time, this can lead to anxiety, poor sleep, hormonal imbalances, low energy, and that feeling of never truly switching off.
What many people don’t realise is this — your body needs time to come out of that state.
This is why a 90-minute massage isn’t a luxury… it’s a reset.
Prolonged, intentional touch helps to:
– Lower cortisol levels
– Increase serotonin and dopamine (your feel-good hormones)
– Calm the nervous system
– Improve circulation and lymphatic flow
– Bring your body back into balance
But it doesn’t happen instantly.
In the first 30 minutes, your body is still unwinding.
By 60 minutes, your nervous system begins to soften.
At 90 minutes, you reach a deeper state of relaxation — where true restoration begins.
This is where anxiety quietens.
Where your breath deepens.
Where your body finally feels safe to let go.
And this is something I understand deeply.
I’ve lived in that constant “on” state for years — where slowing down felt impossible, and switching off felt unfamiliar. Through my own journey of learning how to regulate my body and come out of that state, I’ve been able to truly understand what the body needs to heal.
That understanding is what I’ve poured into creating treatments that genuinely work.
99% of my treatments are 90 minutes or longer — because real change, real balance, and real restoration take time.
Healing isn’t always about doing more.
Sometimes, it’s about allowing yourself the time to slow down. Your body already knows how to reset… it just needs the space to do it.
