I’ll admit that I’m more yang than yin- a self confessed pitta gal 🙋♀️
Here’s a few snapshots of some yin energy this year in no particular order 💆♀️
#1 Curling up with a blanket and book at Loch Ossian on a snowless ski trip with hearty food and people
#2 Wholesome times with my dear friends
#3 Creating corners of peace in my first home
#4 Slowly making my way through a beautiful book about the ancient wisdom of native plants and people
#5 Fueling my body
#6 Finally hanging my hammock
#7 & #8 Restful moments on a trip to Norway
#9 & #10 Sharing soup and tunes on my long-neglected clarsach with a very creative bunch
#11 Hanging out with my seriously cool nephews, enjoying the little things and a slower pace of life
#12 Resting my body on a women’s rally of the Badger’s Divide
#13 Framing a line from a poem that gives more glory to slowing down
I haven’t captured many, possibly because yin is an ongoing practice that I intend to make more space and time for
I love noticing how it creates more ease, softness and stillness in my life and how I become more well-rounded and balanced- letting go of the proving, forcing and rushing
If you’d like to join me in practicing yin yoga on the mat then come along to for a grounding, balancing flow - times and dates below ✨
