A lovely Sunday Service attended by many and led by Dickie Deane, thank you. After tea, some enjoyed a bit of dancing while watching an old episode of Strictly Come Dancing and some watched the darts.

A wonderful donation of books was handed out to our residents this morning. So many smiles and you could hear a pin drop with the silence as everyone chose a book of their choice and started to read. A perfect way to start a cold wet windy Saturday 📚 📖 📙. One of the team recognised a local book and was delighted to see a photo of her father ! . She then went on to share the story of Appledore and Instow.

In house was Pamper Day with these two lovely ladies enjoying a fabulous, bubbly foot spa.......and breathe. Meanwhile, there was a little flower arranging going on in the dining room 🌺🌹

Baking Club enjoyed some delicious vanilla cupcakes after a busy day playing dominoes, word searches, and partaking in some Fitness Friday exercises.

This lucky gentleman had two 90th birthday celebrations this week! One on Tuesday with his wife and friends in the day centre, celebrating with a beautiful fruit cake made by his daughter. The other today in house with friends, carers, banners, balloons and, of course, more cake! Happy 90th birthday 🎈🎂🎉

There were jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles and puzzles over which cards belonged where today for National Puzzle Day. Two of our lovely ladies chose a 200 piece puzzle which they completed throughout the day. The Gents chose to sort out the playing cards which had got into a muddle and some preferred to get their thinking caps on and complete the word puzzles. This afternoon we learned to play two new games; a card game called Zilch where you make collect cards by making words and a tile game named Qwirkle where you get rid of your tiles matching shapes and colours. Lots of fun, focus and frivolity.

Hollie and Erika provided the house with a host of different activities today with our lovely residents enjoying flower arranging, making words from Scrabble letters, snakes and ladders, dominoes, nail and hand care, jigsaw and cards. Busy day!
