πβοΈ Staying Safe as the Weather Turns Cooler βοΈπ
As we head into the autumn and winter months, the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping. Here are a few simple tips to help you keep safe and well:
β
Keep warm β Layer up with cosy clothes, use blankets, and try to heat the rooms you spend most time in.
β
Check on others β A quick call or visit to a neighbour, friend, or family member can make a big difference.
β
Stay active β Gentle movement, even indoors, helps circulation and keeps you feeling brighter.
β
Be prepared β Make sure youβve got cold and flu remedies to hand, and stock up on essentials if bad weather is forecast.
β
Stay visible β If youβre out and about in the darker evenings, wear something reflective so drivers can see you.
β
Check your transport β Make sure your π car is winter-ready (tyres, lights, antifreeze, and wipers) and give your π² bicycle a once-over too (brakes, lights, and reflectors) to keep journeys safe in the darker, wetter months.
Looking after ourselves, our loved ones, and our journeys is especially important this time of year. π Stay safe, stay warm, and letβs look out for one another.
