Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective ti

ssue it enhance function and promote relaxation and well-being. Massage can be applied to any part of the body with the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearm, and feet. There are over eighty different recognised massage modalities. The most cited reasons for introducing massage as a therapy have been client demand and perceived clinical effectiveness. In all types of massage therapy, the intention is to relax the soft tissues and increase blood circulation. During the massage therapy session, the therapist will discuss symptoms, medical history and the desired results. The therapist will generally perform some evaluation through touch before beginning the massage. Oil or powder help reduce friction on the skin and the therapist may use other aids, such as ice, heat, fragrances, or other equipment. Massage may be found to bring relief from everyday aches, reduce stress, increase relaxation, address feelings of anxiety and tension, and aid general wellness. It can also be used in support of other therapies to assist in the rehabilitation of muscular injuries. My interest in massage and complementary therapies began after spending about 10 years in the IT industry. I had always loved massage therapy and to help treat family and friends. This eventually led me to pursue my passion and become qualified in what I love practising. I am a qualified Holistic Massage Therapist and hold a Level 4 BTEC Professional Diploma in Holistic Massage Practice specialising in complementary massage therapy for the purpose of relaxation and well-being. I studied with Essentials for Health one of the leading massage schools which provides the highest levels of training available. I also studied at the same school for a BTEC Level 5 Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Sports Massage and Sports Treatments and am still progressing my development with a few courses with Jing Institute,Gateway Workshops and some others towards my continuous development. I am also a Mobile Holistic Service Therapist, providing corporate companies with On-Site Chair Massage also at school events, baby showers, parties,well-being pampering and corporate events. I am currently a registered member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and Complementary Therapists Association (CTHA) an appropriate insurance and leading professional association for therapists, an authorised and regulated insurance intermediary. My goal as a therapist is to bring balance to body, mind and soul.
