“Why can’t I switch my mind off?”
You’ve done what you can…
You’ve tried to stay on top of things…
You’ve kept going, even when you’re tired…
And yet your mind just won’t stop.
Constant thinking.
Replaying conversations.
Running through what needs to be done.
Feeling like you can never fully switch off.
That isn’t random.
A busy mind is often your system trying to process experiences that hasn’t had space to be fully acknowledged yet.
Not just what’s happening now…
but everything that’s been building underneath.
So instead of asking,
“How do I stop thinking?”
Try asking,
“What is my system trying to process right now?”
Even taking a moment to pause,
placing your hand on your heart,
and gently breathing…
can begin to shift things.
You don’t have to quiet your mind by force.
You can start by listening to it differently.
