Did you know you can now arrange a FREE and confidential consultation with a pharmacist or pharmacy technician about your contraceptive needs?

🗣️ What happens during the consultation?
You’ll speak privately with a trained pharmacist or pharmacy technician. They’ll ask similar questions to those asked at your GP surgery or sexual health clinic. They may check your blood pressure, height, and weight, and discuss any concerns you have.

🔒 Confidential Service
Your consultation is private. Information is only shared with your GP if you give consent.

⏰ Convenient & Accessible
No need to wait for a GP appointment. You can walk in or book at a time that suits you. Some pharmacies also offer telephone or video consultations.

This service is provided by the NHS and is completely free.

If you need to request a repeat prescription, the most efficient way to do so is by using the NHS App.

If you prefer to submit a paper request, you can place it in the prescription box at London Road Surgery. Following feedback from our Patient Participation Group (PPG) to improve accessibility, the box has now been moved and is located at the entrance to the surgery.

HAVE YOUR SAY – MOUNT VERNON CANCER CENTRE 🗣️
Important changes are being proposed to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, and we want to hear from you.
Plans include moving the centre 5 miles to a brand-new facility next to Watford General Hospital.

A key part of the consultation is the option for a second radiotherapy unit, located at either:
➡️ Luton and Dunstable Hospital
➡️ Lister Hospital, Stevenage
(This would be in addition to radiotherapy at the new main centre.)
