🚨 NHS Update: Resident Doctors’ Strike Action 🚨
The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced strike action by resident doctors, taking place from 7am on 7 April until 7am on 13 April.
We recognise that industrial action has a real impact on patients and NHS staff. This round of strikes comes as the NHS is emerging from winter pressures and during the Easter holiday period—a time when many staff would normally rest and spend time with their families.
During this period:
--Other NHS staff, including consultants and specialist doctors, will continue working.
Our priority is to ensure that as many services as possible continue to operate safely.
-We are working closely with the BMA to address patient safety concerns and maintain safe staffing levels, particularly for emergency care.
💡 Important for patients:
-If you need urgent or emergency care, please come forward as normal.
-If you have not been contacted, attend your appointment as planned.
-We will contact you directly if your appointment needs to be rescheduled.
While we aim to minimise disruption, some appointments may be affected. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
We understand the challenges this brings—for patients and for our hardworking NHS colleagues—and remain committed to delivering safe, high-quality care throughout.
Thank you for your continued support 💙
