Meet our Charity Ball compere! 🤩

Our host for the evening is ex Bedford Blues rugby player turned stand-up comedian, Robin Boot's Rockomedy. Robin has taken his unique brand of guitar-wielding "Rockomedy" all over the world, including 9 years performing to sell-out crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe, winning awards and receiving 5 star reviews. You might even recognise him from the Haribo Tangfastics advert!

Robin is an experienced compere and a regular at the annual Bedfringe Festival at The Quarry Theatre - and his unique comedy routine is worth the ticket price on its own!

If you would like to see Robin in action, as well as enjoy a delicious 3 course meal at The Bedford Swan and Thermal Spa, enjoy live music, table magic and disco dancing til dawn on Friday 6th February, then email fundraising@bedfordopendoor.org.uk to secure your seats. Tickets are £75 each or £700 for a table of 10.

We are preparing for our upcoming AGM—a chance to reflect on the past year, share future plans, and confirm trustee appointments.

If you are interested in the work we do at BOD and would like to know more - either as a potential funder, supporter or partner - then please do join us on 27 November at the CVS offices on Bromham Road from 6.30pm.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. We have been supporting young people's mental health in Bedfordshire for 30 years - and we hope to be around for another 30, with your support.

A huge thank you to all the people who donate to BBC Children in Need - our service is so grateful for the three year grant we have to support our counselling service.

Today Sam Pearce, our Chair of Trustees, joined Andy Collins on BBC Beds, Herts & Bucks to talk about how we are using the grant to provide free counselling to local young people.

Thanks Sam for being our radio star and thanks to Andy and the team for giving us a spot on your show. We wish you luck with the three legged marathon around Centre MK today! 😀🤩😁
