2025 Introduction To Noise at Work Course Dates

We're excited to announce the 2025 dates for our Introduction to Noise at Work Course! This practical and informative course is perfect for anyone looking to enhance their knowledge and stay compliant with workplace noise regulations.

🌍 Stay ahead with effective boundary monitoring!

Following our recent articles about Environmental and Boundary Monitoring, discover how the Guardian2 Boundary Monitor can help you remain compliant with site emission levels.

This innovative solution provides real-time remote monitoring of , noise, particulate, vibration, and more. Construction sites will often have limits for noise (often hourly LAeq), dust (PM10 or PM2.5). By using the Guardian2 and associated software, you can easily produce and automate reports for compliance purposes. In addition, the system provides alerts via text message or email should limits be exceeded.

🚀 Throwback Series: A Journey Through Casella's Legacy 🚀

The Evolution of Casella Sound Level Meters 📈

A few weeks ago we shared some imagery of our exhibition stands dating back to the 1960s. Today we are looking at the evolution of our handheld Sound Level Meters. Pictured here is the Casella CEL-593 Sound Level Meter, the first generation of sound level meters with real-time frequency analysis, which was launched in the early 1990s.

As we look back at the journey of sound measurement technology, it's amazing to see how far we've come!

The CEL-593 was a game-changer in its time, offering real-time octave and 1/3 octave analysis, saving acoustics professionals lots of time taking measurements and calculating parameters!

Also pictured is the latest Sound Level Meters from Casella, the CEL-630 series; ideal for both noise at work and environmental measurements, with real-time frequency analysis in a much smaller form factor than the CEL-593!

Meet Daniel 👋 Daniel recently joined Casella with experience in the semiconductor industry, spending most of his career in various engineering and management positions, Daniel has a passion for electronics and a wealth of knowledge in engineering and programming.

We asked, who is your favourite artist or band? 🎵

Daniel answered “Hard to say, music is my main hobby so I have loads of favourite artists, right now I am listening to Joan Shelly, Josh Garrells and Naima Bock”

We also asked if you had to visit the same country every year, what would be your choice of country be?

“I visit Taiwan most years, it is where my wife is from. Always hot, loads of great food.”

We also agree Taiwan is a beautiful country!

Meet The Team ✨ Welcome Stephen Sandford!

We are taking a moment to introduce some new faces to our connections, starting strong with our new Technical Product Manager, Stephen Sandford.

Stephen joins us with 18 years of experience in Product Management, and a BSc Physics (Hons) degree. With experience in multiple different industries, from electronic components to intercom audio & video motion capture. Stephen joins Casella as a Technical Product Manager, managing products from cradle to grave, championing our voice of customer work and prioritisation of product development tasks.

We asked, what is your go-to sandwich?

Stephen answered: cheese and pickle on brown bread, I’m a big cheese fan, pickle is the part that you can switch up depending on mood Sweet, Spicy or Chunky, and brown bread to be slightly healthier.

What is your greatest achievement?

Stephen answered: I once broke my ankle and 17 months later ran London Marathon in just over 4hrs.

That is a pretty great achievement!
