You may have seen these posters dotted all over the county, but what are they?
Project Firefly is our response to tackling violence against women in spaces such as pubs, clubs and bars. We have increased patrols with specialist trained officers, and we are working with licensed premises to improve training for staff.
Does it work? Yes. We recently secured our first successful conviction through Firefly, relating to someone harassing young people in Bedford. We won't let women feel harassed or intimidated while they are out in public.
