✨New for 2026 - Strong Saturdays!✨
I've got some exciting news about a new weekly online class I'm starting on Saturday 21st February
Qigong for Strength ... It'll be a much more challenging class, involving a mix of Qigong, some functional Tai Chi moves, and some strength building Callisthenics like push ups and squats.
There will be adaptations for all levels, so a wall or box push up, or going for it with full push ups if that's your thing - and always the option to not do a move that doesn't feel right for your body.
It's a 45 minute class, beginning at 10.15am £6.
Do let me know if you'd like to give it a go.

It was an absolute privilege to welcome these lovely ladies from the into the cabin this month to share our cancer care massage training with them.
Everyone who works within the hospice setting does such amazing, heart led work. Having volunteered in hospice myself, I know how invaluable this course is in giving confidence to offer compassionate, loving, therapeutic care for the patients and their families.
What makes our course different is that it's not just about rolling out a standardised samey course, 'learning another routine', or selling / endorsing products... it's about sharing practical skills to the already very qualified and experienced therapists, and aiming the day at exactly what they need to get from it.
❤️ It's about having models who have been through the journey themselves and who are willing and brave enough to openly share their experiences knowing that it will help others ❤️ (a huge thank you to all our models 🙏🏼 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️)
Whether you are a therapist in a private practice, or working within a hospice or hospital setting, this training will deliver practical skills and knowledge to help you support those going through the cancer journey.

As we step into Winter, we begin the deep inner work, the shadow work... This is how we grow through the seasons and evolve into better versions of ourselves, by facing and tackling the darker aspects of life.
Death is one of those ever present but taboo subjects.

A 4 hour immersion and insurable course covering all the deep subjects on how and where we die, what dying actually looks like, how to support someone at the end of life, and so much more... Now with the inclusion of new material dealing with grief.

The Death Café - 14/12/25;
Held by at our friend 's new cafe Brew and Renew in Sandy, Bedfordshire. A safe non judgemental space where we can come together as a small group over delicious tea and cake (yes, there is coffee too ☕😊) and talk about our experiences of death, grief and loss...no agenda, no pressure. FREE (refreshments are not free, but you will be supporting a new small independent business by buying a drink)
Far from being sad and morbid, these events are empowering, uplifting and healing.💞

So proud to deliver this course yesterday to two amazing therapists..the cancer care massage training is one that is very close to my heart...written by my dear friend and mentor Susan with collaboration and additions (very minor) by me... This course is not 'just another routine'.... It's delivered bespoke, as it's for already established and confident therapists. It aims to give an understanding and practical tools to support clients on their cancer journey...it's tailored so you get what you need for your clients.
This course is also excellent for those who work within hospice organisations (a full body massage qualification and experience is needed before being eligible for this training)
Listed on the FHT's short course website and sited as "one of the most comprehensive cancer care courses" they've seen, I feel what makes it more special is our models...who are carefully chosen because of their own personal experiences with cancer, they give a unique perspective that cannot be found in books and routines! AuroraStar Holistic Therapies and Training offers a range of holistic treatments to help promote relaxation, healing, health and balance for Mind, Body and Spirit.
I have had many years hands on experience working with people in the hair and beauty industry, having had my own salon, but have always had an interest in complementary therapies and an holistic approach to lifestyle wellness management.
I worked within the health, beauty and fitness industry for over 30 years, but it was when I started having my own health issues that I wanted to treat as naturally as possible that led me to begin my journey into holistic therapies way back in 2008.
I passionately believe that the body can achieve harmony, health and well-being by integrating a holistic perspective into lifestyle to balance the mind, body and spirit as a whole.
I set up AuroraStar Holistic Therapies and Training with the aim of bringing my down to earth approach to holistic health and healing into peoples lives. I work intuitively, nothing stays the same in our lives or our bodies and so every treatment with me will be different, as I utilise all the skills and modalitites I have learned over the years to give you a truly personal and unique healing experience based on what you need in that moment. I believe we all need to take responsibility for our own health and healing and so what I bring to the session to give to you are the tools that you need to empower yourself to allow that to take place.
I have been working in the holistic industry for a number of years now and am fully qualified to NVQ level 3 , VTCT standard, insured, and registered with the Association of Reflexologists, The Guild of Beauty Therapists and IPTI.
I love what I do, and it is an honour for me to be a teacher in this field so I can pass on my skills and passion to others. As well as teaching all the holistic therapies that I do, I teach Reiki to level 3, and meditation and mindfulness. I am also a Soul Midwife.

I care deeply about the earth, its creatures and our environment, so I try to run my business as environmentally friendly as possible, to minimise my impact on the earth. It’s an on going process, but wherever I can I source locally, ethically and sustainably. I use sarongs and sustainable bamboo instead of paper towels and plastic, my product range is made by a local artisan company and is vegan and natural. I recycle where I can, and use vegan soy wax candles.
