Lauren Aimée - Yoga, Movement, Macramé

Lauren Aimée - Yoga, Movement, Macramé Bedford based Yoga Teacher and movement practitioner celebrating free movement and body diversity th Hi! Through this I developed my Yogance Playshops. x

My name is Lauren Aimée and I am a Yoga teacher and movement practitioner based in Bedfordshire, UK. I have a passion for free movement, which began when I was dancer at University of Lincoln. Whilst studying, I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 (Bahia Yoga Studios) to investigate how I can unite the fluidity and expressivity of dance, with the mindful awareness of Yoga. I progressed on to achieve an MA in Dance, Performance & Choreography (University of Bedfordshire) where I was able to explore these ideas more creatively. I love to experiment within the realms of moving unconsciously, improvisation using the senses and thinking with the body. In a typical class, you will be guided to listen to your body, listen to the internal sensations and allow them to manifest in movement. Learning to let go of what that movement might look like but observing how it feels. Yogance is a practice, not only for dancers, but for anyone who want to move. It combines the focus, alignment and structure of the asanas with the freedom, expressivity and fluidity of dance. Mixing this with music allows us to explore what it is like to move from within. This has also since been condensed in to a weekly Mindful Flow class, my signature class where we explore these themes on a smaller scale. No dance experience is required, I simply encourage my students to move and express how they are feeling, I am there merely as a guide. Nowadays, I continue my movement research, but whilst also making it accessible for everyone. My classes are open to ALL. Every shape, age, race, gender. Everyone is welcome and I strive to provide an inclusive environment. I’m a firm advocate of body positivity. You don’t need to be a specific size or shape to begin your practice, and I encourage all to observe your body and all the wonderful things it can do. Have I convinced you enough to join a class yet? Message me to get involved! Hope to see you on the mat soon!

✨ what if self-love looked like simply showing up, as you are, right now?

my next beginners yoga course begins november 9th, and it’s an invitation to meet yourself exactly where you are - no expectations, no comparison, no need to be “good” at yoga.

this isn’t about touching your toes or getting the pose perfect.
it’s about learning to listen.
to move intuitively.
to breathe with your body, not against it.

over 4 weeks, we’ll move gently, build strength, create space - in your body, your mind, your spirit, your soul 🫶🏼
from that foundation, freedom begins to flow! 🌿

come as you are. that’s exactly where your journey begins.

🪷 starts november 9th - 30th, sundays 11am-12pm
📍 the boathouse, box end park, kempston
✨ limited spaces, book here! ➡️ https://laurenaimee.com/bedford-yoga-workshops/beginners-yoga-course-november/

and it’s probably not what you think… 💭

giving the gift of time and space and then being able to simply witness its ripple effect is a beautiful thing

over the past few years of running these retreats, what always stands out for me are the inbetween moments, where there’s no rush, no need to stick to a regimented schedule, but instead offer our attendees space to float through the experience

absolutely the workshops, the practices, they hold their own kind of power… but the magic is in the subtlety, it’s in the quieter, smaller moments of inbetween 🫶🏼

🌿 Spring is on its way... can you feel it? 🌿

The days are getting longer, the air is shifting, and golden sunlight is pouring into our gorgeous lakeside studio at The Boat House, Box End Park. There’s no better time to step onto your mat and move your body as you move with the seasons ✨

Whether its our Slow Flow Sunday session, the class that just feels like a deep exhale, inviting you to slow down, soften and ease into your week with presence and calm. 🌙

Or our dynamic Vinyasa practices on Tuesdays, guiding you through a breath-initiated flow to build strength, find fluidity, as you start or bring your day to a close 🌱

Whichever class calls to you, this is your space to show up exactly as you are. No expectations. No pressure. Just movement, breath, and that post-yoga glow 😍

As always new yogis can claim their first class free when signing up to the mailing list here ➡️ https://mailchi.mp/31f8fa445dd1/join-the-tribe

Stop it, why is ChatGPT making me cry 😭🥹

Thank you for the inspiration!

Because sometimes you need hyping up, but not just some cliche reassurance, the kind of amping up that you get in the girls bathroom after a few too many spicy margs ✨

So here’s to feeling the full spectrum of human emotion, and not stuffing them down like last nights takeaway, here’s to being all wise and magical, here’s to giving ourselves permission to be powerful 🔥 (that last one is my fave hehe)

Closing the chapter on the first month of 2025 with gratitude for every breath, every stretch, every shared moment on the mat…✨

Welcoming February with playful curiosity, open hearts and soft strength 💜

This month, I’m leaning into deep nourishment—in movement, in stillness, in solo adventuring, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and in the little rituals that fill me up—allowing that fullness to spill over into everything and everyone around me…

Give yourselves permission to be poured into, soak up the goodness February has to offer and see where that fulfilment leads you 🙏🏼
