Friday 26th September a Coffee Morning was held at Enhanced Services Centre for Macmillan.

Amazing a total of £1099 was raised for this great cause.

Well done everyone and thank you to all the patients and staff who supported on the days leading up to the coffee morning and on the day (a big shout out to the bakers!!)

The De Parys Group are excited to host a Cancer Awareness and Macmillan Coffee morning on Friday, 26th September at our Enhanced Service Centre, 3 Kimbolton Road, Bedford MK40 2NT.

This event is in collaboration with Macmillan and other community-based organisations. The Coffee morning is Macmillan's biggest fundraising event, bringing people together from across the UK for a cuppa, cake and raise money to support people living with cancer.

Tickets are via Eventbrite tickets & available from the QR code on the flyer, or you can email dpcommunications@nhs.net to request a ticket & we will do it for you!

There are 4 slots available, and 30 tickets available for each

Fibromyalgia Support Group Sessions

Dear De Parys Group patients - for information.

Patient notice: Due to work in Gilbert Hitchcock House, from Monday 8 September to Friday 12 September, the main entrance will be closed for access.

Access will be signposted along the right hand side of the building, with the entrance for mobility scooters and wheelchairs being slightly further ahead.

We thank you for your understanding as we improve facilities for the patients of Bedfordshire.

The De Parys Group - Flu & Covid Vaccination Programme 2025/26

Flu vaccinations are based on the advice of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). The programme aims to provide direct protection to those who are at higher risk of flu associated morbidity and mortality and to reduce transmission to all age groups through the vaccination of children.

The following cohorts are announced and authorised to be eligible to receive a flu vaccination:

Flu From 1st September 2025:
• pregnant women
• all children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025

Flu From October 2025:
• those aged 65 years and over
• those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
(as defined by the Green Book, Influenza chapter 19 )
• those in long-stay residential care homes
• carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the
main carer of an elderly or disabled person
• close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
• frontline workers in a social care setting

Covid From October 2025:-

Eligibility

The announced and authorised cohorts eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine in 2025/26 are:

· residents in a care home for older adults
· all adults aged 75 years and over
· persons aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in tables 3 and 4 of the COVID-19 chapter of the Green Book.

If eligible for both you will be able to have both at the same time and will be sent an appointment link for yourselves to be able to book your preferred time & location.
