🍫🐣 Post-Easter Brace Care Tips from BSOP! 🐣🍫

We hope you all had a lovely Easter filled with fun (and maybe a few chocolate eggs too! 😄)

While it’s tempting to enjoy all your Easter treats in one go, if you have braces, a little extra care goes a long way in keeping your smile healthy and on track.

✨ Top tips for looking after your braces this Easter:

🍬 Enjoy treats in moderation – Try not to snack on chocolate throughout the day. Having it in one sitting is better for your teeth.

🪥 Brush thoroughly after sweets – Chocolate can stick around brackets and wires, so make sure you brush carefully after indulging.

💧 Rinse if you can’t brush – Out and about? Swish with water to help remove sugar and debris.

🚫 Avoid hard or sticky treats – Caramel, toffees, and hard sweets can damage your braces—best to steer clear!

🧵 Don’t forget interdental cleaning – Use your interdental brushes or floss to clean those tricky spots around brackets.

A little care now keeps your treatment on track and your smile shining bright! 😁✨

Meet Rebecca, one of our brilliant dental nurses that joined Team BSOP back in December! Have you had the pleasure of meeting her yet?

Here’s some info from Rebecca to help you to get to know her…

I have an extensive background in healthcare. I worked for 15 years dental nursing across the community & high street practices. I moved over to Bedford Hospital & worked for 17 years in phlebotomy. I will never forget the impact on myself & my colleagues during & after the Covid pandemic. Now I am back to my first passion, dentistry & in orthodontics no less. BSOP have been a very welcoming & fantastic team to work with. I’m very much enjoying learning about orthodontics.

I love all the cats in the world! 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐈 I have 5 who join me when I’m gardening 🧑‍🌾 , another passion. I also love reading true crime, history & fictional horror books. 📚

A very warm welcome to Rebecca who were thrilled is settling in so well to the BSOP team!

A warm welcome to Megi, who has joined Caroline on the BSOP Receptionist team.

MESSAGE FROM MEGI: Hi, my name is Megi and I am originally from Georgia.

I have recently joined BSOP and I am delighted to be working with such a great team.

Previously I worked at luxury hotels in customer service and I am excited to bring my skills to the role to make our patients journey memorable and enjoyable.

Outside work I enjoy watching doc’s, walking in nature, arts classes, cooking and meeting with friends.
