🌟 Updates from Jubilee House 🌟

We’re pleased to share that Sharon, one of our residents, has been working at the Air Ambulance charity shop for the past couple of months, where she’s been supporting daily shop operations by organising donations, replenishing stock, creating displays, and engaging with customers as part of the team. It’s been great to see her confidence grow.

We also recently celebrated Lynsey’s 50th birthday, with residents and staff coming together to enjoy a buffet and mark this special milestone 🎉

✨ A few highlights from this week ✨

At Chilwell House, residents took part in a group affirmations activity, supporting peer encouragement, self-esteem, and positive connections. We’re also proud to share that Scott has progressed to Stage 3 of his medication plan, a great milestone in his recovery journey 👏

Over at Goldhill House, residents were highly engaged in an activity session focused on oral care and hygiene, making it both informative and enjoyable.

We’re proud to share a positive update from Dovecote 💙

Nick, one of our residents, has now been accepted as a volunteer at a local mental health–focused community centre following a successful trial period.

This was a completely self-motivated choice, reflecting his strong desire to give back to the community while also establishing a purposeful and meaningful routine. It’s a great example of how confidence and the right support can open doors to new opportunities.

A fantastic achievement and a real step forward 👏

✨ We’re excited to announce that Charlotte, Team Leader at Jubilee House, has been named our Employee of the Year! ✨

Charlotte leads with warmth, compassion and creativity - always finding new ways to support her team and residents, from launching the Housing and Volunteering Boards to introducing Coffee & Chat afternoons. Her dedication and positivity make it easy to see why she’s this year’s winner.

A big well done to our runner-up, Paige, Team Leader at Goldhill House, for her energy, kindness and “can-do” attitude - and thank you to our other nominee's Diane (Dovecote) and Hallima (Chilwell House) for their continued hard work and commitment. 👏

🎄 It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas across our homes! 🎅

✨ At Chilwell House, residents gathered at The Warren Pub to enjoy a delicious three-course festive meal full of laughter and cheer.

🎁 Over at Dovecote, our amazing team and residents marked an incredible 7 year anniversary with a Christmas jumper day and a tasty buffet spread – a perfect mix of fun and festivity.

☕ Meanwhile, at Jubilee House, residents enjoyed a cosy coffee and chat morning, where everyone received a thoughtful gift from the team, who all chipped in personally to make it extra special. 💖

🎄 Festive Updates🎄

We’re delighted to share some fantastic activities that took place this week!

✨ Goldhill - Emily and Sharon supported residents on a fun and festive trip to the Matlock Christmas Market. Everyone had a wonderful time exploring the stalls, enjoying delicious festive treats, and joining in the fun with rides and games like Hook-a-Duck.

🎅 Chilwell - Residents have been getting creative, making their own Christmas tree and snowflake decorations to bring a touch of festive sparkle to their home.

🏊‍♀️ Jubilee House -Congratulations to Lynsey, who has successfully achieved her Bronze Stage 2 Award with the Rookie Lifeguards! What an amazing achievement.

It’s starting to feel festive at Chilwell House 🎄

The team at Chilwell House spent some time this week putting up the tree and decorations -with plenty of help (and laughter) from our residents along the way. A few Christmas songs, a few cups of tea, and a lot of smiles. 🎅

Last week we attended the Great British Care Awards, and what a brilliant evening it was!✨

We were proud to have multiple nominations across several categories - a real credit to their hard work, compassion, and dedication every day.

It was great to come together with so many others in the sector to celebrate the brilliant work happening in care, a reminder of just how many people go above and beyond to make a difference💙

✨ Days Out at Goldhill ✨

This week, one of our wonderful residents, George, took a trip to the Crooked Spire Christmas Tree Festival in Chesterfield. The church was filled with beautifully decorated trees, twinkling lights, and plenty of Christmas cheer - and George had a fantastic time soaking it all in 🎄

Big shout out to Pete, his Key Worker for making sure George had such a lovely festive day out!

🎄 It’s never too early for Christmas!

Staff and residents at Goldhill House had a wonderful time decorating the lounge and other areas of the home for the festive season. 🎅

They especially enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree, putting up wall decorations, and hanging their own stockings. Lots of smiles and laughter all around.

🌟 At Chilwell House, our residents took part in lots of fun activities for Anti-Bullying Week.

It was great to see everyone working together, communicating well, and supporting each other when things got tricky.

Moments like these are a reminder of the importance of kindness, respect, and teamwork. 💛
