Following a recent public meeting attended by committee members from the Shannon Gaels and Belcoo GAA clubs, as well as interested individuals from the North Leitrim region, discussions were held regarding the potential formation of a new hurling club for the MacNean area. The attendees explored various methods to assess the feasibility of establishing this new club. It was agreed that local clubs would form a working group tasked with developing an action plan to promote hurling in the area. A key component of this feasibility study involves conducting a survey across the MacNean area to gauge community support for the proposed hurling club.
