In the UK, more than 2 million people are living with sight loss. Of these, around 340,000 are registered as blind or partially sighted. Being told you have a visual impairment can be difficult to come to terms with.
If you have never experienced low vision, it can sometimes be very difficult to understand what your loved ones, who may suffer from one of the many conditions that cause low vision, go through on a day-to-day basis.
To help raise awareness of what living with low vision is like Vision Matters, in connection with National Eye Health Week, have created a simulator to show just how difficult it can be living with these impairments.

If you have vision loss, it's still important to have regular sight tests so your optometrist can check for further changes in your eyes and give you advice about how to make the best use of your vision. To book with Mackey Opticians, please call your local branch our visit our website.
