Transition and Learning Coaches helping with problem solving!

Sometimes it is hard for a parent to consider returning to work when there are difficulties with routines in the home. We try to help overcome any barrier to employment. This can include preparing kids for parents going to work!

This is a resource for a parent to use with their child.

Tomorrow is World Su***de Prevention Day. The theme this year is Creating Hope Through Action.

It is creating a society where we can talk openly about our feelings and support each other

If you feel affected by this, please reach out. There are people and organisations who can help. Also, you can reach out to those around you to offer your support.

There are events being held to mark World Su***de Prevention Day. Our Colin Team will be attending the Colin Walk and Talk this afternoon.

Who are we?

The Parallel Support Service work alongside Employability Mentors at Job Assist Centre. We recognise that there are so many reasons why people haven’t found (or are having difficulty finding) a job that meets their needs. Our job is to help you move towards your goal, and remove any obstacles in your way. We are also here to support people to deal with change, as this too can be a barrier. We work to promote mental wellbeing, motivation, aspirations, self confidence, positive routines and healthy habits. Chances of success are higher if you are sitting in front of an interview panel talking about yourself with belief. To find out more about us, talk to your Employability Mentor who can refer you over. We also have a blog you can read.
