Positive affirmations are such a simple yet powerful tool. They help re-focus the mind, shift our internal dialogue, and gently guide our nervous system back toward balance. When we repeat them with intention, we begin to rewrite the stories we tell ourselves—and that can create real change from the inside out.

I’ll be honest… I’ve fallen out of my routine of journalling and using affirmations lately. So today’s post is as much for me as it is for anyone who needs this reminder. These little practices really do work when we return to them with compassion and consistency.

Today’s tip is a gentle reminder: your feelings are valid.
Whatever you’re carrying — heaviness, overwhelm, uncertainty — it deserves space to be felt, not pushed away. Allow yourself to pause, breathe, and simply be with what’s present. 💛

Taking self-care back to basics can make all the difference. Here are a few simple ways to support yourself today:

🌿 Pause + Breathe
Take 3 slow breaths, unclench your jaw, soften your shoulders. Let your body catch up with your mind.

🌿 Ground Yourself
Place your feet flat on the floor and notice what you can see, hear, and feel. A moment of grounding brings you back into the present.

🌿 Sip Something Warm
A cup of tea, hot water with lemon, or whatever comforts you — slow sips calm the nervous system.

🌿 Name the Feeling
Sometimes simply saying “I feel ___ right now” reduces the intensity and helps you move through it.

🌿 Rest Without Guilt
Five minutes, ten minutes, or an early night… restorative rest is self-care, not self-indulgence.

Remember: you don’t need to “fix” everything today.

✨ Room for Calm • Energy, Spirit & New Beginnings ✨

This week, a close friend reminded me of something deeply aligned with my own spiritual beliefs — 2025 is a Universal Year 9.
In numerology, 9 represents completion, release, wisdom, transformation, and the closing of cycles. It’s the energy of clearing space so that something new, higher, and more aligned can finally enter.

Big reflections for me with the end of our 18 month house renovation, step down from my 9 year floristry role and my little girl starting school.

As many of you know, my complementary therapy work is grounded in the belief that energy is real, powerful, and constantly shaping our emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing.

So as we draw towards the end of 2025 a reminder to:
