Wayne W. Dyer reminds us that peace comes when we stop fighting reality and start accepting life as it is. Much of our worry lives in “what ifs” and “shoulds”—not in the present moment.

To leave worries behind, bring your mind back to now. One simple way is through visualisation:

Close your eyes, slow your breath, and picture a safe, calming place.
Engage your senses—what can you see, hear, feel?
Let your body soften as you settle into this space.

If worries pop up, don’t chase them. Imagine placing them outside your safe place, just for now. With each breath, draw in calm and release tension.

It’s a small reset—but a powerful way to retrain your mind and return to peace.

In this reel, I’m working on the lower back reflex point located around the inner ankle during a reflexology treatment. You may notice a slightly gritty or “crystallised” feeling under the skin—these are often thought to reflect areas of imbalance within the body.

Through targeted pressure and technique, reflexology aims to break down these blockages, helping to support the body’s natural healing processes, improve energy flow, and restore balance.

Life gets busy — but your wellbeing shouldn’t be the thing that keeps getting pushed aside. One of the simplest ways to stay consistent with self-care is to schedule your massage or reflexology treatment in advance, just like you would any other important commitment. 🗓️

By booking your monthly session ahead of time, you’re creating a routine that supports both your body and mind. Regular treatments can help reduce stress, improve sleep, ease tension, and keep your energy balanced — helping you show up as your best self every day.

Here I’m performing Petrissage (Wringing & Pick-up) techniques on the hamstrings — a deeply effective massage method that works into the muscle tissue at the back of the upper leg.

A little reintroduction… 🌿

Hi, I’m Wendy — and this is me in my beautiful therapy space at Room for Calm 🤍

My journey to becoming a complementary therapist hasn’t been a straight path. I spent 9 years in the sky with a commercial airline and a further 9 in floristry before training as a Complementary Therapist. My career path has only changed due to sight loss, learning & adapting to navigate the world in a different way, play to your strengths not your weaknesses. I discovered something powerful in my touch and so here I am.

Touch has helped me in my journey with sight loss and now it’s how I help others feel grounded, restored, and cared for.

In a world that can feel overwhelming, stressful, and full of challenges, it brings me so much joy to offer a space where you can pause… breathe… and simply be.

Helping you feel better about yourself — calmer in your mind and more at ease in your body — is truly an honour. ✨
