As we celebrate the International Volunteer Year, we’re delighted to introduce a new monthly feature where we shine a light on the incredible people who give their time to Hospice.
Our first Volunteer of the Month is Finola Carlin, who volunteers at Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
Finola is often the first friendly face families see when they arrive, welcoming them at reception with warmth, kindness and a genuine smile. Alongside her regular role at the Children’s Hospice, Finola has also volunteered in our Fundraising Reception, our Adults Hospice, and has supported teams right across Hospice whenever help was needed.
Last year, Finola stepped in to support staff during a busy period, generously giving her time to help with important behind-the-scenes work, all while continuing to support families, patients and staff through her volunteering.
Finola’s compassion, energy and willingness to help wherever she’s needed truly capture what volunteering is all about. Every hour she gives is time well spent and we are so grateful.
💜 Inspired to get involved?
