Be your own true love and look after your body!

*not a massage hater fyi I got every 6 weeks because it’s lush.

But with injury and pain nailing the basics is the most powerful thing you can do. Unfortunately the basics can be boring. People want a magic quick fix exercise/ massage. Whilst massage/ manual therapy can feel nice at the time, the best thing you can actually do (according to the evidence) is sleep well, eating well, hydrate, move, and keep stress low.

Teaching Pilates was sort of accidental tbh!

I’d worked in rugby (men’s) for 4 years solid and women as patients scared me a little- especially pre/post natal.

So I thought I’d do the Pilates to start to learn a little more with the intention of doing pre/post natal.

And let me tell you it was love at first practice. Finding an exercise that I enjoyed and also helped make my brain a little quieter. Helped with my hypermobility (I’ve only dislocated one thing since 2014!) and my psoriatic arthritis.

And I get to teach it every day!

A trip so good it’s deserving of a full album 2006 style.

I find with new runners it’s often the loading too quickly and with more experienced runners I often find it can be a battle to get them strength training!
