Last week our Spectrum Creations (10) Belfast group - now that we're all settled back in to the new programme - re-focused some of our session back onto our discussions surrounding autism - on this occasion - using several interactive-sensory props (visual, olfactory, auditory, etc.) to physically explore the impact our sensory-environment (anxiety-stress) has on our cognitive processing capabilities (mental fatigue and executive functioning) and our energy levels, sleep routine (social battery) - however, engaged in further discussion with reflection on the strengths and creativity (esp. within the arts) quite often demonstrated - to a very high level - by many neurodivergent-type individuals!

We followed our discussions up, by getting creative - making Mother's | Carers Day and St. Patrick's Day cards - with plenty of social engagement amongst the group all evening; it's good to observe so many wonderful friendships developing

We’re excited to announce something new launching this April at Brothers Autism Social Enterprise (BASE).

Over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing our three resident autistic artists, whose work will soon be available through our online gallery and monthly drop-in art evenings.

From digital character illustration and wildlife photography to traditional oil painting, these unique pieces offer individuals, businesses and organisations the opportunity to bring inspiring artwork into their homes, workplaces and shared spaces — perfect for personal collections or meaningful gifts.

For organisations across Northern Ireland looking to demonstrate Social Value, purchasing artwork from a local profit-for-purpose social enterprise is a meaningful way to support paid creative opportunities for autistic adults while enhancing your workspace with distinctive, locally created art.
