🌼 Ovarian Cancer Awareness Stand – Everyone Welcome 🌼

An Ovarian Cancer Awareness stand will be set up in the foyer of the Northern Ireland Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital, throughout this week.

Come along to learn more about ovarian cancer, access helpful resources, regarding information and support.

πŸ’› Why it matters:
Symptoms of ovarian cancer often mimic those of more common, everyday, and less serious conditions. This overlap can make early diagnosis challenging β€” raising awareness is an important step in helping people recognise when something feels unusual.

Your visit could make a difference.

04/03/2026

🌼 It’s Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 🌼

Adrina O’Donnell, one of our Gynae Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialists, is helping raise awareness and encouraging all women to stay body‑aware and vigilant about any symptoms.

πŸ’› If you notice anything new, unusual, or persistent that causes concern, please speak to your GP. Listening to your body and acting early can make all the difference.

Let’s continue to spread awareness and support one another.

An Ovarian Cancer Awareness stand will be in the NI Cancer Centre foyer the week of 02/03/26 – everyone welcome.

Today our team completed SafeTALK training (Su***de Alertness for Everyone), facilitated by Margaret Woods.
This valuable training has equipped our staff with the skills and confidence to better recognise and support individuals who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts. We are committed to creating a safe, compassionate environment where difficult conversations can happen. Remember - don't be afraid to ask the question. Are you thinking about su***de? Starting the conversation can make all the difference.
Thank you to Margaret Woods for guiding us through such an important and impactful session, and to our staff for their continued dedication to patient care and wellbeing.
