Arthritis UK Northern Ireland

Arthritis UK Northern Ireland Arthritis UK is the new name for Versus Arthritis. We're here to create a future free of arthritis

Our name has changed, but our vision and mission remain the same. We won’t rest until everyone with arthritis has access to the treatments and support they need to live the life they choose, with real hope of a cure in the future. Arthritis UK Northern Ireland will continue to support individuals and families across the country through pain management and physical activity programmes, paediatric rheumatology clinics and family events, peer support networks, advice and information.

FREE Pain Management Programme East Belfast

Anyone with a long-term condition or chronic pain can attend.
Our courses are for anyone needing support and techniques to make everyday life a little bit easier to manage, despite the pain. This course aims to help manage the many symptoms, such as pain and fatigue, caused by a long-term condition.

Our courses are delivered by trained volunteers who have their own lived experience of a long-term condition and who all attended a similar course in the past which benefited them so much, they became part of our VA family and trained to support others.

These courses follow a weekly structure but are still relaxed enough for you to feel comfortable and confident to share your own experiences and in doing so learn from each other as well as from the evidence-based approaches offered on the course.

We are Versus Arthritis

On 19 September 2018 Arthritis Care and Arthritis Research UK launched a new charity to achieve more for the 10 million people living with arthritis. We are now Versus Arthritis.

Our services include: Campaigning for fair and equal access (on a par with the rest of the UK) to new drugs and treatments that can change people's lives; An award winning helpline and information service to give people support at the isloating moment of diagnosis and throughout their lives; Free pain management courses that give people the skills and techniques to combat their pain; A family and youth work service that runs activity and personal development weekends for teenagers as well as family support and days out for younger children with arthritis and their parents; A network of branches that provide social support and services in local communities.
