Do you know the symptoms of endometriosis?

By sharing this post, you may help to reach someone who doesn't 💛

While symptoms listed are considered the most common or ‘classic’, other symptoms have been reported and everyone’s experience is different.

I met with representatives of Endometriosis UK Northern Ireland Support Group to discuss their concerns around progress on the establishment of the Regional Endometriosis Centre by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. We also discussed the need for more education for young women and a great understanding among GPs so that referrals for tests are better targeted from the outset. I aim to follow up on these issues.

If you would like to learn more, get in touch with the page for support.

Merry Christmas everyone, and a Happy New Year! 🎁

Hi all, following a conversation on our last online support meeting; we wanted to ask you about what it is you want your employer/school/university to do to help you?

It can be hard for them to know what it is we need, and it can be hard for us to ask for it.

Our aim, with this survey is to build a list of guidelines that you can approach your manager/HR department/teacher etc. with to give some practical, helpful modifications for daily life with endometriosis.

All survey completions are anonymous and we will use the collective response to create a document that we will share in this group in due course.

Thank you all 💛

We know it's not always possible to attend our online and face to face meetings, due to other commitments, logistics of getting to Belfast, or living too far away.

So we want to ensure you all have access to the support you need. We never want you to feel isolated or alone. Hayley and Caroline are available for one to one chats on evenings or weekends.

If this is something you are interested in, please message us on FB or email us at northernirelandgroup@endometriosis-uk.org

Well done Claire and thank you for sharing your story, know it won’t have been easy but it’s needed!!

I’m sure everyone in this group will agree with me that highlighting the state of NI care on a national level is long overdue 💛
