Vitamin C is one of the best ingredients you can add to your skincare routine.

Our skin is constantly exposed to oxidative stress, especially from UV radiation, which is one of the biggest drivers of skin ageing.

Vitamin C acts as a powerful antioxidant, helping to protect the skin while supporting collagen, glow and smoother-looking skin.

Consistent use can help improve:
• fine lines
• dullness
• overall skin quality

Simple. Effective. One of my favourites.

This is how we rebuild collagen.

Sculptra works differently to traditional dermal fillers.
Instead of simply adding volume, it stimulates your skin to produce new collagen over time, helping to improve skin quality, restore facial support and create subtle, natural-looking rejuvenation.

Results develop gradually as your own collagen is rebuilt, which is why it’s one of my favourite treatments for long-term skin and structural improvement.

If you’ve been thinking about Sculptra…hold off booking just yet.

I’ll be making an announcement on Thursday that you might want to hear first 👀

Retinol is probably the skincare ingredient I’m asked about the most.

It’s known for improving fine lines, acne, pigmentation and skin texture, but here’s the part many people don’t realise. Retinol isn’t actually the active ingredient. Your skin has to convert it into retinoic acid before it can work.

So if you want to go straight to the source? That’s where I recommend Tretinoin.

Tretinoin is prescription retinoic acid, meaning your skin can use it immediately, which is why it’s considered the gold standard in dermatology.

If you’re curious whether Tretinoin could work for your skin, book a skin consultation.

Sometimes acne isn’t your hormones or skincare - it’s your habits.

Hands on your face, your phone against your cheek, and makeup brushes that haven’t been washed regularly can all transfer oil and bacteria onto the skin and trigger breakouts.

Small changes can help, but if you’re struggling with persistent acne, a personalised treatment plan and medical-grade skincare can make a huge difference.

Book a skincare consultation with Dr. Amy to get your skin back on track. ✨

Do you need SPF every day?

Strictly speaking…no.

But should you wear it every day? Absolutely.

Because when SPF is a habit, you won’t forget it on the days your skin actually needs protection.

Respectfully…no!

He’s picturing matching rocking chairs.
I’m thinking polynucleotides and Sculptra every six months.

We can both be happy. 💉✨

“Why do you price by area but don’t treat by area?”

Because the face doesn’t work in zones. Muscles move together. One pulls, another compensates. So treatment has to consider the whole face (upper and lower), not just “forehead” or “crow’s feet” and how aging has impacted your face.

Pricing gives structure.
But dosing is based on anatomy. That means sometimes you need more than you think. But sometimes less.

This is why medical training matters. We don’t treat areas, we treat faces.

Aren’t you embarrassed?
Yes. Constantly.

But I have skin to transform and new clients in Belfast, Donaghadee and the surrounding areas to find so they can have natural aesthetics treatments, so here we are.

Please like it so my suffering isn’t in vain 🫶🏼

‘Medical grade’ isn’t a regulated term. It’s marketing.

But here’s the nuance. Some clinic-dispensed skincare contains higher levels of active ingredients, better delivery systems, and science-backed evidence behind, which is why you often see better results.

That doesn’t mean everything needs to be expensive. I’ll always tell you where to invest (think: actives) and where you can save (think: cleansers & simple moisturisers).

Skincare should be strategic, not salesy.
