Meet Cheryl, one of our incredible donors who has reached an amazing milestone — her 102nd donation! 💉❤️
Cheryl began donating around 11 years ago, starting with blood before switching to platelet donations. Her friend Laura, who had needed platelets in the past, inspired her to make the change — and Cheryl’s been helping save lives ever since.
“Everyone’s friends or family will need blood or platelets at some stage in their lives,” Cheryl says. “All it takes is 45 minutes, 3 times a year for blood — or around an hour once a month for platelets — to make a real difference.”

“There’s nothing to be nervous about. Whether you’re at a local donation session or at the Belfast Headquarters at the City Hospital, the staff are so friendly and really put you at ease — plus, they make a great cup of tea!” ☕
