💜 Kintullagh House Pub Quiz Fun! 💜

What a fantastic evening at Kintullagh House as residents, staff, and guests came together for a lively Pub Quiz night! 🎤🕺 The atmosphere was full of laughter, friendly competition, and great team spirit.

A big congratulations to Table A, who were crowned the winners and took home some brilliant prizes after a very close contest! 👑🌸

On Friday, residents enjoyed a sunny afternoon filled with music as the Dunmurry Protestant Boys Flute Band paid a special visit! ☀️🥁 The atmosphere was full of cheer, and a highlight of the day was when resident John had a go on the cymbals — and he absolutely loved it! 😃

Kintullagh House recently welcomed the Ballykeel Loyal Sons of Ulster, who delivered a fantastic performance that truly brightened the day for everyone. 🥁🎶

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the music and atmosphere, with smiles all around as the band played. It was a memorable visit that brought joy and community spirit to the home.

As beloved therapy dog Nancy begins her well-deserved retirement, everyone at Glenabbey Manor would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to both Nancy and her handler Diane. Their regular visits over the years have brought joy, comfort, and companionship to residents and staff alike — their time and dedication have meant so much. 💛

Glenabbey Manor is now delighted to welcome Mallow and her handler Victoria, who will be continuing the tradition of therapy dog visits. We look forward to the smiles and warmth they’re sure to bring! 🐶✨

🌈 Learning Disability Pride Celebrated by Carrickfergus Manor Residents 🌈

On Saturday 21st June, residents from Carrickfergus Manor took part in the vibrant Learning Disability Pride celebrations along the Marine Highway. It was a day full of joy, inclusion, and community spirit, as local disability organisations paraded with pride, each bringing their own unique energy, music, and colour to the event.

The outing left a lasting impression, with residents and families still talking about the event days later. It was not only a celebration of inclusion and pride but also a beautiful moment of connection with the wider community.

Carrickfergus Manor was proud to show its support for Learning Disability Pride – a truly uplifting day full of smiles, laughter, and togetherness. 💜

🌺✈️ Orchard Lodge took a tropical turn this week as part of their “Come Fly With Me” theme — with residents and staff jetting off (imaginatively!) to beautiful Hawaii! 🌴🍍

Everyone received their boarding passes and “landed” in paradise, where they enjoyed watching traditional Hula dancing, listening to uplifting Hawaiian music, and sampling a delicious spread of tropical treats. 🥥🌸🎶

The celebration ended on a high note with a good old-fashioned sing-along that had everyone joining in with smiles all around. 🎤🎉
