Is your asthma well controlled?

According to Pharmacist Greg Miller, if you use more than six puffs a week of your reliever (salbutamol) inhaler, this could be a sign your asthma is not well controlled.

Poorly controlled asthma can lead to an increased risk of severe asthma attacks.

People with asthma should only need two salbutamol inhalers a year as each one contains 200 puffs. If you're using more than 3 salbutamol inhalers per year, you should speak to your local pharmacist or GP practice on how to best use your inhalers.

Having a drink this Valentine’s Day? Find out how many alcohol units are in your favourite alcoholic drink.

Call into your local community pharmacy and pick up a free alcohol unit calculator wheel and check how the units can quickly add up.
Regularly drinking more than 14 units can increase your risk of health problems.

We're humbled that Khanyisa Miss-Kay Mafumo is a member of the Community Support Group for Forward South Partnership

Today at the meeting with other members and Forward South Partnership staff, had great conversations of how FSP can improve and also about the great things that FSP is doing.

One of the things we got out of it was that it has created a great networking platform for Community groups and from that needs can be identified and hopefully met.

What a great meeting with Facilitator Alison.

Thank you everyone! πŸ™
