100% prepared. 100% recommended. 100% inclusive.

We spent a fantastic morning at Stranmillis University College delivering our CPD VR training to Primary and Post-Primary trainee teachers.

Our mission was to show how immersive technology can transform our understanding of vision impairment—and the feedback was unanimous. Every single participant left feeling better equipped to foster an inclusive classroom environment.

A huge thank you to the trainees for their engagement and for prioritising inclusive practice in their future careers!

It’s not often you get to take your son to work, so Sara, our CEO, was delighted to attend the Joint Committee on Education and Youth in Dublin with her son Peter to give evidence last Thursday on the invitation of our Shared Island partner

Sara spoke about the impact of our Empatheyes training, delivered through the Shared Island Fund, and current training delivered across Northern Ireland that is supporting both mainstream and special schools.

Peter shared his own experience of moving through the education system with a visual impairment, highlighting just how transformative assistive technology can be when it’s in place and how challenging it is when the right support and understanding aren’t there.

From Leinster House, they then headed to Meta to trial the new Meta glasses and were absolutely delighted to be given a pair to bring back with them.

We’re now offering our young people the chance to trial the glasses for two weeks.
If you’d be interested, please get in touch.....all we ask in return is your feedback, which will go directly to Meta as they continue to develop this technology with the visually impaired community.

Shout out to Peter travelled to Dublin using his Blind SmartPass for the first time!

A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Young Climbers!

We are incredibly proud of the fantastic group of young people who recently took on an Indoor Wall Climbing Challenge in support of Angel Eyes NI. Their commitment, teamwork, and courage made a lasting impression on everyone involved.

Thanks to their incredible efforts — and the generosity of everyone who supported them — they raised an amazing £3,077.50! 🎉

Every pound raised will help Angel Eyes NI continue supporting children and young people living with visual impairment, along with their families, across Northern Ireland.

To our young climbers: you showed bravery, resilience, and kindness, well done!

Thank you to everyone who donated, encouraged, and cheered them on.

We’ve had an incredible two days in Belfast and Derry, bringing together young people and their parents for our Accessible Technology events 🙌

It was fantastic to work alongside the Digital Poverty Alliance , exploring accessibility features, building confidence around internet safety, and introducing the opportunities and challenges of AI.

The energy, curiosity, and conversations across both days were inspiring – a huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made it such a success!
