Today we had the privilege of delivering sandwiches, wraps and refreshments to some of our true unsung heroes — the people who go above and beyond for us and for the families we serve every single day.

From the Belfast Registrars Office, Cemeteries Office, Irish News, Danske Bank, and the incredible teams in Ward 5CC and Level 7CC in the RVH — your dedication, compassion, and quiet strength never go unnoticed.

Even though Christopher might “melt your heads” at times 😂, we are beyond grateful for everything you do.

This is just a small token of our appreciation — and just a few of the amazing people we had the chance to see today.

McMahon (née McManus) Annie, died peacefully at home 30th April 2026. Beloved wife to the late Eamon. A loving mother to Eamon, Elaine, Sean and the late Gerard. An adored Granny and great granny, a much-loved sister, aunt and friend to many. R.I.P. Annie will arrive home to 80 New Barnsley Park on Friday evening. Annie will leave on Wednesday 6th May at 12.15 for 1pm Requiem Mass in St Peters Cathedral, followed by burial in Blaris Cemetery. St Anthony & St Pio pray for her. As many of you know, we’re a car-mad family—especially when it comes to Ford.

Today we said goodbye to a very good fella, Eddie Basset—a true enthusiast and a genuinely good man.

To honour him, we personalised his order of service booklets, and his beloved Ford Es**rt van led the way ahead of our Bentley hearse.

A simple, fitting tribute for a special man.

Our thoughts are with the Bassett family and the wider circle in the days and weeks ahead.

Rest easy, Eddie—you’ll be sadly missed.

Clinton Sean, died peacefully at home 29th April 2026, surrounded by his loving family. A Devoted partner to Catherine. A loving father to Keva, James, Ursula and Sinéad and a loving grandfather to Méabh and Bronagh. Much-loved brother to David, Charlie, Jim, Anne Marie and Catherine. A loving uncle, great uncle, and friend to many, RIP. Sean will arrive to his family home, 2A Mooreland Park on Friday 1st at 10am. Sean will leave on Monday 4th May at 9.15am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Agnes Church, followed by burial in Milltown Cemetery. Sacred heart have mercy on him. He will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Family flowers only. All Sean’s friends and comrades past and present are welcome to the family home to pay their respects. John McClory

We, the family of the late John McClory, wish to express our gratitude to everyone who came to the house, sent sympathy cards, food, and other refreshments, and to those who attended his Requiem Mass and Cremation.

Special thanks to the carers from Connected Health who cared for Daddy in his last years, as well as the doctors and nurses who cared for him in his final months.

To Christopher and the Mallon Brothers Funeral Directors, we extend our thanks for their care, professionalism, and support throughout the funeral arrangements.

Daddy’s Month’s Mind will be held at 6:30 pm on Saturday, 2nd May, at St Oliver Plunkett Church. All are welcome.
