Diamond geezers met last night again for the first in a while after Christmas and the new year. Great to see a good turnout and I think it's fair to say we all enjoyed getting back socialising whilst watching the match and playing darts. Great to see everyone in good form and laughing our way through the night. Brilliant atmosphere and exactly what it's all about for us guys. Special mention to Spence's chippy too, another local food outlet that's took pride of place there on beersbridge road for many decades. Sorted the boys out with a feed that I think would've fed the community lol.
We'll be back next week with fitness class at 6:30 Thursday and hopefully a game on for us too. We'll be starting weekend walks also ti clear the head and get a chat and laugh away from reality for an hour or so. If anyone fancies it get in touch and become a part of it..

The lads from the men's group met for our final feed of the year on Sunday and another Xmas Chip, this time from Hatch & Wolff, whilst suffering mixed emotions AGAIN with the 2 derby's played on the same day just like last year's FA cup final day. Rangers so unlucky on the day had us gutted, but that's football for ya. Good seeing the boys there, and as usual the banter was flowing (wellll...up until that penalty miss from Yilmaz anyway lol) but United saved the day with 2 late goals for a few of us lol..
Christmas is a tough time for many as years tick by for a lot of us, and we start losing loved ones. We can maybe notice that empty seat around a table that was once filled, in some cases become lonely, isolated, sad, remembering how Christmas 'used to be'.
Be kind and considerate this Christmas, you just don't know what someone who may be a little less fortunate than yourself are mentally going through in a time we were led to believe was joyous and about family around a big table or tree..
MERRY CHRISTMAS from all of us, to all of you, and I hope the new year brings kidness, happiness and great health to your family and friends.. "Remember if you're looking down on someone, always try to pick them up" 🎄🎅🏼❤️

The men's mental health group met up for the Liverpool v Madrid game and our first Christmas chip tonight. The food was from SixtyNine and went down a treat, would definitely recommend 👌🏼.. Wayne sorted the boys out with some food free of charge a while back so was only fair to repay the kind gesture by helping local businesses like his, that have helped us out in the recent past. Great wee night, bit of craic, fed n watered and everyone smiling leaving. For me seeing that makes it an even better than the result Liverpool just got tonight 😁 #

Few of the boys sitting down for a feed and watching a bit of the football.. A wee bit of socialising, a bit of craic, a yarn, basically getting a break from the everyday grind of life, can be absolutely great for the mind and soul. Always good to get some of the lads together when we can..

The Diamond Geezers are having a BBQ and the 2 games on at the hub where we meet every week in Constance Street for anyone wishing to come along and join us. There'll be free burgers, hot dogs, both games on as I said & I'm sure some craic too, everybody welcome! Diamond Geezers

Sorry there hasn't been any activity on here in a while but the lads have still been meeting regularly for our group sessions in the gym on a wednesday night at 6:30pm for some, and down to the hub for a match of our choice that week also...anyone is more than welcome down to join the group or pop their head in, if it's even to get out of he house for a while, clear the head, or have a bit of a laugh with the rest of the lads getting together..
I wanna say a big thank you to some local businesses who have help contribute with giving discount on food to feed the lads Four Star Pizza East Belfast Turkish Kebab And Pizza Cregagh Pizza-Co Belfast & special thanks to my big mate up at Sixty-Nine who sorted the boys out with free grub that was top notch 👌🏼

Last Wednesday the Diamond Geezers met for football, pizza and kebab. Thank goodness they squeezed in a workout 💪

Diamond Geezers will be meeting again Wednesday night at the Diamond Health Club for another workout 💪 followed by football and soup this week in the Hub. A bit more healthier 😁
