Youโ€™ll see it a lot in yoga classes, and for good reason. Childโ€™s Pose allows you to take a moment to pause, catch your breath and just be.

Come close to the ground, draping your body forward, finding space to rest.

It gently stretches the back, hips and ankles, can ease tension in the shoulders and neck, and gives your nervous system a chance to settle. Itโ€™s also always there if you need a break or are tired or overwhelmed.

Itโ€™s almost time to welcome back to the studio.
On Saturday he is leading out a workshop for teachers, body workers and those interested in how to support someone with a hands on assist.
Dan says:
I want to cover adjustments in forward fold, pigeon, reclining hand to big toe pose with PNF (proprioceptive neural feedback) assisted stretching and if we have time weโ€™ll work on the savasana adjustment.

This simple flow, arching and rounding the spine is one of the best ways to wake up the body. Cat Cow gently warms the spine, loosens the shoulders and hips, and helps you connect movement with breath.

It can ease tension from sitting and improve mobility through the back and neck. Slow it down for a reset, or use it to get things moving at the start of your practice.

Yoga Quarter is a local yoga studio in Ballyhackamore. We host a range of classes and workshops in our light filled studio. We cater for all ages from pregnancy, to babies, teens to over 50s. There is a class to suit everyone.

Although we are primarily a Vinyasa studio we also offer ashtanga, Hatha, restorative, yoga Nidra and coming soon a regular Yin class. We regularly run workshops with both local and global yogis. We aim to meet all your yoga needs right in the heart of the local community.

We provide mats, straps, bolsters pillows and blankets so all you need to bring is yourself.
