π« Glamour Lounge is 14 π«
14 years ago today i started working in Sandy Row. In a small treatment room in the back of the hairdressers. I knew no one in the area, it was on reflection a bit of a risk, to start a business in an area where you dont know a single person! But somehow it all worked out!
Over the years i built a steady clientelle, allowing me to renovate into the salon i have today over 8 years ago! I am proud of how far we have come in those years, the people i have met along the way, some for short periods of time, some who came in the beginning and are still loyal clients now, and most grateful for those who i would say are not just clients but my friends! All people who i genuinely care about and who i am forever thankful for supporting me and my small business.
Iv been in the privileged position in previous years to say the salon is going from strength to strength, but this year is somewhat different, its been a tough year for many reasons, mainly due to the disruption in the area, as many of you know it has had a huge impact on the area in general, and id be lying if i said it hadnt had a worrying impact on my business.
I dont know what year 14 will bring for the salon, but i pray we can survive it! I know i say it all the time but i am genuinely so grateful for the loyal clients who have stuck by me over the years, through thick and thin, staffing issues, maternity leave, lockdowns, rebuilding.. another maternity leave and now this chaos! Without you i wouldnt still be here, so thank you for continuing to choose me and my business for your treatments!
Love you all π₯°
