Another successful combined and targeted deep tissue and cupping session -
Deep tissue massage: to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia.
Trigger point therapy: Focused pressure on tight knots or “trigger points.”
Stretching and mobilization: To lengthen muscle fibers and improve joint movement.
Friction and compression: To break up adhesions or scar tissue.
Cupping results are the dark red, purple, or brown patches you see afterward.. they are not true bruises from impact, but rather stagnant blood and lymph brought to the surface.
What the colour means:
Dark purple / deep red: More stagnation or tightness in that area; often the first session shows darker marks.
Light pink or red: Milder tension or improved circulation.
Brownish or yellowish (after a few days): The mark is healing and being reabsorbed by your body.
Cupping also lifts and stretches the fascia - the thin connective tissue layer around muscles. When fascia is tight, it can restrict movement and cause that "bound up" feeling. Loosening it helps muscles slide and contract more freely.
