Acupuncture treatment benefits memory, learning, and the brain in an Alzheimer’s disease study. In a controlled experiment, researchers discovered important clinical benefits provided by stimulation of scalp acupuncture points;
In Alzheimer's patients, functional brain images demonstrated that acupuncture increased activity in the temporal lobe and prefrontal lobe which are related to memory and cognitive function.

✅ SAFETY FIRST We have been advised by our governing body The British Acupuncture Council after careful consideration for your safety and well being that we can re-open for urgent care cases. I am so delighted, as I have missed all of you and my clinic so much!

✅ WHAT TO EXCPECT At the clinic, you will find me fully dressed in Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and you can expect the highest standard of safety and hygiene. Appointments will be staggered throughout the day to ensure clinic hygiene between each patient. Only one person may attend the clinic at a time (unless accompanied by a carer). Further advice regarding your appointment, will be given when you book.

✅ WHAT TYPE OF APPOINTMENTS Urgent care appointments cover any pain conditions such us psychological distress, anxiety etc, mobility issues or acute injuries. If you are unsure whether you need an urgent appointment, I am happy to discuss your case with you. Please get in touch

How do needles work with a guide tube?
A guide tube is an aid that helps to position thinner and/or longer acupuncture needles. It is approx. 0.2 mm shorter than the acupuncture needle, so when the needle is positioned at the acupuncture point, it protrudes from the tube and enables the needle can be inserted quickly. Rounded edges of the tube ensure comfortable and pain-free positioning. Since transparent plastic tubes facilitate centring of the needle tip and allow a more precise guiding during treatment, they are more common today than guide tubes made of metal.
