Most migraine clients are used to being asked if they have an aura or visual disturbance before the headache starts. In the Neurogical Clinical Practice Journal : Schwedt
et al. stated the case for other non aura prodromes occuring 1-6 hours pre headache.

Light sensitivity 57%

Difficulty thinking or concentrating 30%

Useful to know one is on the way a little earlier so meds can be taken earlier and hopefully prevent the worst pain.

Attended a brilliant webinair today around pain and bleeding with periods. What is normal and what is not. Led by the legend that is Prof Regan and talking to endometriosis, adenomyosis sufferers around their stories, medication, onward referrals.
Prof Regan has set up a charity Wellbeing for Women. They have a symptom tracker which after a few questions have been answered will send you a letter listing all the symptoms to be given in on a gp appointment. Gp finds it helpful as symptoms are concisely in one place. Most Gps are brilliant but if one is less sympathetic maybe it could be requested that the letter is put in patient notes along with a reason why they are not acting upon those symptoms at that time.

It amazes me how few use tbe library services. The library app is brilliant. You can go online and sign up for online access to ebooks, audio books and magazines. You do not need to physically go into a library and show ID for this access. The ebooks can be downloaded to a kindle and browsed at your leisure or taken on holidays to read on the beach. You can check out 18 books at a time and for free!

The audiobooks are really up to date . I love Stephen Fry reading the Harry Potter books. The magazines include Marie Clare and Vogue…. not just the obligatory Readers Digest.
I have a card too. Just show some ID at your friendly local library. I can then order books from the app, they are delivered to the local library and picked up by yourself.
