Acknowledgement
We, the family of the late Rosie (Roseanna) McCann, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and sincere thanks to everyone who showed us sympathy, love and kindness following the loss of our beautiful wife, mummy, granny and great-granny, Rosie.
To all the staff of ward 7D RVH who treated Rosie with the upmost care and respect thank you.
To everyone who called to the house, every message, card, every hug, words of comfort, food and every person who travelled to be with us meant more to us than we can ever say.
To our extended McCann family for all your support throughout and during Rosie’s wake and the days that have followed we are eternally grateful.
A special thank you to Gerard McGlade for the beautiful floral tribute photograph of Kevin and Rosie and the beautiful hand-carved robins, memories we will treasure forever.
We are deeply grateful to Fr Austin McGirr, Fr Nideesh and Fr John Forsyth for the beautiful Requiem Mass, and for the comfort and support Fr Nideesh gave to us as a family during the wake.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank those who placed our national flag on Rosie’s coffin as a mark of respect and then presented it to Gerard. It was a deeply meaningful gesture to our family.
We will forever be grateful to Rosie’s carers, whom she treated like extended family, for the kindness and care they showed her.
A very special thank you to our cousin and niece Cara McCann and to our Grace for the beautiful singing and music. It brought such warmth and comfort to a very sad day. Grace, your Granny Rosie would be so proud of you.
We are also truly grateful to Healy Brothers Funeral Directors for the thoughtful and dignified way they supported us and carried out the funeral arrangements, especially Stephen and Sean, who ensured that all our wishes were carried out with great respect and care.
There are truly no words to express how grateful we are.
We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
From Martin, Irene, Karen, Gerard and Róisín McCann and Family.
Rosie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 21st March at 6pm Mass St Luke’s Twinbrook.
